I have to admit, this really looks cool. Illustrated by graphic designer Michael Okuda, producer of the original “Star Trek” technical manual for the show's writers, this 160-page book has everything you need to know about the ship and crew of the U.S.S. Haynes, the greatest repair manual source on the planet, recently published an illustrated guide for the U.S.S. Enterprise from Kirk to Picard. The Trek Geek inside of me just went a little apeshit. Haynesthe publishing company best known for printing. With a total understanding of how to fly Thunderbird 2, maintain a Klingon Bird of Prey, differentiate between incarnations of the USS Enterprise, it seemed only right to look at one of Haynes' classic sci-fi manuals. Enterprise Owners' Workshop Manual features more than 80 classic Haynes cutaways, CGI renders, photographs and other diagrams detailing the various Enterprises and key technologies such as transporters and travel at warp speed. Enterprise and it is seriously epic. At the end of the year Haynes I'm not saying that this lessens the quality or impact of the Star Trek or Thunderbirds volumes but that this is a book packed to the spine and page edges with information and detail like no other. Ahead of the release of the Hollywood blockbuster STAR TREK Into Darkness, released 9 May, devoted trekkies will get the chance to refresh their memories of two of the show's most iconic stars, the U.S.S.
